Christmas break, our kids went out in the snow to enjoy as much as possible before heading back to school. But not to worry, because the snow is still here and there is no sign of stopping!

Snow has fallen on Latvia and our children are excited with the chill of the air and the whiteness all around.

Kilinta celebrated her 3rd birthday party with all her ladybug friends. There was dancing, presents, songs, and ladybug cake.

For two weeks, Sparrows Nest had 13 volunteers from Oklahoma to come and serve with us here in Latvia. From building projects, Vacation Bible School, and playing with the children, they were busy from sunup to sundown.

Every year, after school is over, we take our children to their favorite play place and restaurant. Not only do they get to play, but also eat delicious food.

Saturday, May 24, Sparrows Nest celebrated 10 years in Latvia. These photos are just a sample of the exciting day we all shared together.

The Sparrows Nest family headed out to Ratnieki, our country home, to prepare the arrival of spring and summer. We had plenty of sunshine, work, food, and fellowship.

We thought winter was over, but at the start of spring, we received one last full blast of snow. Since it is Spring break for our children, they get to enjoy the snow, all day, everyday!

Each year we have a celebration to honor the achievements our children have accomplished at school. We take them to their favorite restaurant where they mostly play and then find time to eat. Join us in our celebration!
