Distance learning is challenging for children around the world, and the children of the Sparrow’s Nest are no exception. Our staff devised a point system to help with focus and motivation. Each week, the children who kept their points were able to enjoy a special treat. The grand prize was a trip to our nearby forest where horse- drawn sled rides were offered. One child kept her points for this grand prize, and she enjoyed the sled ride and all of the personal attention. After seeing the photos of her excursion, motivation has been high, and seven children are on track to win the grand prize of ice skating this month!
